E1MN partnership

Trainings and events

E1MN builds and provides trainings and events to support a shared understanding across the employment system.

Learn about upcoming E1MN events, register for trainings and access recordings of past trainings. For help finding a training resource or to get answers about E1MN, use the E1MN request form.

The E1MN core training is a basic introduction to the E1MN initiative for Vocational Rehabilitation Services/State Services for the Blind (VRS/SSB), waiver case managers, employment service providers and 245D waiver employment service providers. The training focuses on how the statewide interagency partnership will deliver a more seamless and timely employment support system.

The E1MN core training was offered on multiple dates in spring 2021.

In spring 2021, VRS held a forum on the E1 PBA for community partners and staff. The forum covered background information, milestones, payment criteria and work in progress items. View a recording of the forum (1:53:26).

Join staff from the Minnesota Department of Human Services, Disability Services and Licensing divisions for a series of roundtable discussions to discuss various topics providers face when they implement specific 245D requirements. You will have an opportunity to share your experiences, ask questions and hear what others are doing.

June regional collaboration events are now scheduled! See the dates and links to register for your region(s) below.

DHS and DEED have partnered with the Improve Group to offer a series of regional collaboration meetings to support teams and offices across Minnesota in building the strong partnerships that are critical to a person-centered employment supports system. The meeting series launched in November 2021. The series continued in February 2022 and will conclude in June 2022. See below for dates, times and registration links for additional meetings in your region.

These regional meetings help you: 

  • Make connections with professionals from other agencies in your region and better understand the unique roles that you play 
  • Share and learn what's working well with collaboration across agencies, and discuss how you can best collaborate with others in your area
  • Set up a structure for addressing issues specific to your region
  • Dive into the tools created to support collaboration
  • Develop a shared understanding of E1MN processes as you talk and ask questions of each other and the E1MN policy team 

Meeting details
The meetings will take place online via Zoom.

Each meeting will feature breakout sessions where participants will identify better ways to work together in their communities. ASL interpreters and CART captioning services will be available for each meeting (by request in the registration form). 

Who should attend
You're invited to attend the collaboration meetings if you attended the launch meeting for your region or you're a leader in employment collaboration (whether manager, supervisor, team lead or other) from any of the following groups:  

  • Vocational Rehabilitation Services/State Services for the Blind (VRS/SSB) 
  • Lead agencies
  • Employment service providers(VRS/SSB and waiver)
