VIP outcomes: 2024

Survey: Website review

In August 2024, 111 VIP members participated in an online survey to review proposed designs for the Disability Hub MN website. Participants were asked to complete a series of tasks to show how they would navigate a website.

From the survey results, the project team developed a list of changes for the Disability Hub MN website.

Focus Group: Survey review

In April 2024, eight VIP members participated in an hour-long focus group. The group tested, reviewed and made recommendations to improve the Olmstead Implementation Office feedback survey.

Survey: Experiences and ideas

In June 2024, 111 VIP members participated in a survey to provide feedback about Community First Services and Supports (CFSS) communications. The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) is planning to share information about upcoming CFSS changes to people and families who use personal care assistance (PCA) and Consumer Support Grant (CSG) services.

VIP members shared feedback on what they already knew about CFSS, what they want to learn, and where they get their information. This feedback will be used to inform and update DHS communication plans throughout the launch of CFSS.

Survey: Waiver experiences

In June 2024, 114 people responded to a survey about their experiences with waiver services. The services include crisis respite, positive support, specialist and respite. Many people indicated that the services make their lives better, but some participants noted problems with the services.

Information from the survey will be used to develop legislative proposals to redesign and improve the four services. More information about the project can be found with the Minnesota Department of Human Services Intervention and Respite Services.
