Level 3 Benefit Coach Training

This training is designed to build your knowledge so you can address important questions about benefits and work. To find out if the training might be right for you, please visit Level 3 Training in the Benefits Planning Toolkit.

Please note that there are 3 phases of training:

  • Self-Paced Online Training: Each participant will have 4 weeks to complete 17 learning modules that focus on creating an even deeper understanding of common Minnesota benefits and where to go to find that information for people you support.
  • Webinars: The week following the self-paced portion there will be 6 live webinars that will provide insight into tools and strategies for providing Benefits Coaching services.
  • Applying Knowledge: During the weeks following the training, there will be a knowledge exam and practice scenarios that individuals need to complete to become certified.

If you would be interested in attending, please complete Level 1 and Level 2 training, as well as the application in the Benefits Planning Toolkit. You will also need a letter of recommendation from your supervisor to participate. Once signed, this letter can be attached to and submitted with the application. If the upcoming class is full, you will be placed on a waitlist and notified when the next course becomes available.

To find out the specific dates of upcoming cohorts, please visit the Disability Hub MN event calendar.
