Benefits coach training is for professionals who help people with disabilities understand how work affects their benefits. It is designed for those who spend 10 or more hours a week supporting people with disabilities in making informed choices about benefits and work. Priority is given to Home and Community Based Services waiver providers who offer employment services.
Benefit coaches help people with disabilities address benefit issues, answer questions about the effect of work on benefits, and make financial plans related to work and benefits.
